Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid Training

1  in 5 Australians will experience a mental health problem in any given year. That means that every person is likely to know someone who is experiencing a mental health problem, whether that is a family member, a friend or colleague. In fact, mental illness is now said to affect every Australian either directly or indirectly. This makes mental health everybody’s business and demonstrates the need for community care models that empower individuals where they live, work and play.

This is where Mental Health First Aid training courses can help.

For more than 21 years Mental Health First Aid Australia’s evidence-based training courses have equipped people with the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence to listen, connect and support someone experiencing a mental health problem.

TIMBA offers training in Standard Mental Health First Aid certificate courses.
TIMBA is dedicated to offering subsidised course attendance to those in the community who may struggle to pay course fees.
We set aside a number of subsidised places in each of our courses.
